Spotify has unveiled an exciting new AI-powered guide for their users: the DJ.
This personalized AI tool will curate a lineup of music and commentary around the tracks and artists that users love. With Spotify's personalization technology, the AI DJ will be able to review what users might enjoy and deliver a stream of songs picked just for them.
The AI DJ is powered by OpenAI technology and Spotify's music editors, who have expertise in various genres. To bring the DJ to life, Spotify also used a dynamic AI voice platform from its Sonantic acquisition. Xavier "X" Jernigan, Head of Cultural Partnerships at Spotify, served as the first model for the DJ's voice, giving it personality and a unique voice.
The DJ is rolling out in English for Spotify Premium users in the US and Canada.
Users can find this new feature on their Music Feed on Home in the Spotify mobile app on their iOS or Android device. Spotify is always looking for ways to improve their users' listening experiences, and the AI DJ is one of their latest innovations.
