The CDI measures the cyber defense performance of countries in the following categories:
Critical Infrastructure: This pillar examines how well each nation is supported by strong and safe digital and telecommunications networks, computing resources (e.g data centers, secure internet and comprehensive critical infrastructure).
Cybersecurity Resources: This evaluates the technological and legal enforcement for cybersecurity assets.
Organizational Capacity: This pillar measures the cybersecurity maturity and digital experience of businesses and other institutions in each country.
Policy commitment: This pillar assesses the government's efficiency and excellence of cybersecurity regulations, and their strength and thoroughness, to assess regulatory efforts that promote secure cybersecurity practices.
